Freedom from the hassles of expensive, proprietary software.
Flexibility to conquer the tasks at hand.
Stability and reliability so you can actually work.
These are the goals we strive for at IGO. We provide top-quality open source solutions to small- and medium-sized businesses that are tired of wasting valuable resources on expensive, proprietary software, inferior hardware, and battling the endless waves of viruses.
On July 4th, 2005 IGO officially opened for business. IGO is owned and run by a self-certified geek who, armed with statistics on the growing interest in Linux, decided it was time to fill the niche left by other manufacturers of Linux-based computer systems. Paul Trader believes the demand for desktop workstations and print/file servers for small businesses will increase in the coming years. He also believes you don't have to be a geek anymore to use Linux.
Paul Trader has been involved in programming since he was a junior in high-school. After receiving a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of South Florida, Paul moved to West Virginia to work at PPG's Natrium chemical manufacturing facility. By 1997, Paul had formed his own company, OVTechnology Group, and left PPG to pursue full-time work as a programmer. "Throughout college," Paul recalls, "I never lost my love of computers and programming. The classes I took to achieve an engineering degree helped me hone my problem-solving skills. When I think about it, that's what programming is - developing software applications to solve problems for customers." Paul lives on a 33-acre farm in West Virginia with his wife and two daughters and invites you to review his resume and work portfolio.
